On July 9th Wayne Crews appeared before the Senate Commerce Committee to discuss online advertising, privacy, and security on the Internet. Following his testimony, Crews appeared on the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer to discuss similar issues with Leslie Harris, the president and CEO of the Center for Democracy and Technology, a non-profit group dedicated to promoting free expression and privacy.

A transcript of the program is available at the online NewsHour site.

Crews and Harris also responded to a series of questions about privacy and the nature of security online, a debate that can also be seen on the online NewsHour site. Clicking the questions on the left side of this page will allow you to explore more issues on the subject of privacy and security.
